Everyone Experiences Temptation

Bible verses on temptations below. Experiencing temptation is a common aspect of human life and not inherently against God’s teachings. However, it’s the act of succumbing to these temptations and continuing to lather in sins that can adversely affect our spiritual journey.

Jesus is the only one that lived a sinless life

While Jesus triumphed over sin and offers forgiveness, we are still called to actively resist the enemy’s attempts to derail us. It’s natural for everyone to sin and make mistakes; such is the human experience. Yet, our Lord remains steadfast in offering forgiveness.

We are forgiven

Indulging in sin or leading a persistently sinful life can create significant obstacles in our spiritual walk with God. Striking a balance is essential. We shouldn’t be overly rigid about sinning to the point where it destroys our days and leads to prolonged guilt for making mistakes.

Ask for forgiveness, Ask God for help to overcome what your struggling with and make an honest effort to win against the issue. Everyone sins and to claim otherwise would be untruthful, as stated in the scriptures.

Romans 3:23.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

1 John 1:8-10

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”

Make an Honest Attempt

Our aim should be to make an honest attempt to make the best decisions possible and avoid the sins that easily entangle, leaning on the holy spirit and the word of God to guide and council us. And believing that we are forgiven for our sins is essential. This isn’t an ok to continue on living in the same sin, but insurance that if we do make a mistake he is faithful to forgive us and always here to help us work through it.

Learning and refreshing scriptures in the bible is extremely important, Its our life Guide. The bible will help lead us, learn understanding and knowledge to help us make good decisions when temptations arise.

1 Corinthians 10:13.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
